We will never lock any of our customers into a contract for Residential or Business Internet Services. If for any reason you are unhappy with our service you are free to leave at anytime after your first month with absolutely no penalty. Thats just how simple it really is...Reason #1: Quite frankly we feel they are fundamental wrong and completely unnecessary on so many levels. They serve only to harm the customer and reek financial reward for the Internet Service Provider. Any customer who is not happy with the service being provided to them should be well within their rights to leave with out penalty.
Reason #2: We are able to offer you the solutions that you need, want to choose your own modem? No problem! Want a static IP even though your a residential customer? No problem! Want more than one Static IP for your home business? No problem! Instead of being met with rejections, we will do everything possible to get you the service you want and need.
Reason #3: We are a Canadian company dedicated to providing service to our fellow Canadians. All of our employees (Sales & Tech) are located in Canada and able to provide you the one-on-one local service you need.
The unfortunate reality is, a lot of people get locked into a contract by being offered some discount on the initial term of the contract. For the customers who don't read the fine print, or don't ask the right questions its too late, and most times it ends up costing more to end the contract then to just ride it out.
Many carriers lock customers into a contract since it forces the customer to remain with them. They need their money in order to maintain their infrastructure. The unfortunate part about a business model like this is that the customer service more than often suffers as a result. Since they have you locked into a contract, they don't really need to take care of pleasing you until its time for your contract to be renewed.
Some companies even use customers finances to their advantage, they tell customers that if they don't sign a 3 or 5 year contact that the service will end up costing exorbitantly more more than if they just given in and go on a contract. Its an unfortunate reality that plays out every single day.
The sad reality is that for most of you there is not a lot that can be done, but don't get discouraged quite yet. If you are able to get out of your contact or not will depend on a couple factors. first did your contract “auto renew” or is this a new contract you just signed?
For some of our customer who had their contracts “auto-renew”, they had great success calling and asking to be shown proof of a signed contract and have been able to terminate their contract that way.
For other customers, its been a matter of principal and they have been willing to buy out the contract just to not have to deal with that particular ISP any longer. Depending on your situation and your circumstances you will need to choose whats right for you, and we are happy to offer any assistance we can.
