Feature Description
With this option the owner or manager of a company could set if employees are allowed to use Call
Relay or not. If you enable Call Relay, it allows employees to make calls though the company's VoIP
service externally from any other telephone such as a mobile phone. Since calling North America is a
local call on your company's PBX why not take advantage of that when your employee's need to make
work related “Long Distance” calls from outside the office. Assume your on the road and you need to
make a call that would otherwise be “Long Distance” from your cellular carrier. With Call Relay you
simply call your Company's PBX number and access this feature during the main menu playback. You
will then be asked what number you would like to dial. Simply enter that number and you will be
connected though your Company's PBX. This will now use your VoIP service for the call, and as long
as your cell phone is local to to your PBX phone number you will incur no long distance charges. This
service could also be used for international calls so that you don't have international long distance
charges on your mobile phone.
Special Note: To use call relay this feature must first be enabled by a PBX Administrator, second to
this you must also know the Call Relay Password. This password can be set by the Owner or Manager
of a company and must be given to any employee who needs access to this feature. With out the call
relay password this feature will not work. You must be a PBX Administrator to access this
functionality.
