Most of us depend on our mobile phones. And it's possible that your employees are frequently using their personal phones to complete work tasks.
If their device is breached, your company's data may be jeopardized.
Google is addressing this with the new Android 13, which is currently being rolled out. It's intended to keep your professional and personal lives separate. For example, your team can decide whether to use an app for work or for fun. On YouTube, they might have a tutorial video. Without altering their personal viewing history, they can view it in their work profile.
Your IT administrators will have more control over limits to keep data safe if the phone is provided by the company. They may also keep an eye on security logs for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and passwords, and release security updates faster than before.
This update is currently available if you own a Google phone. In the upcoming weeks, other Android smartphones should see it as well.
