If you log into any of your devices or apps with just a username and password, you're only using one piece of ID - or 'authentication factor'.

That is simply insufficient.

We recommend that you use MFA. That is called Multi-Factor Authentication. It also adds additional layers of security to your company.

With MFA, you'll need to find other ways to distinguish yourself.

One of those additional factors could be a code sent to your phone. Perhaps biometric data, such as a fingerprint.

There are three compelling reasons to employ MFA in your business.

For starters, it safeguards you against credential theft. So, even if your password is stolen, a criminal will be unable to access your accounts unless they pass additional security.

Second, it allows your other security tools to work properly. Crooks cannot use your credentials to circumvent your anti-virus and firewall software.

Third, it alleviates a great deal of stress. You can stop worrying about your employees falling victim to a phishing scam. Even if they do reveal their password to a scammer, your accounts will most likely remain secure.

We recommend that all businesses implement MFA immediately.
